ShotShield
The ShotShield Impact Cushion is a supplemental padding accessory only. It covers limited areas of the head and does not provide protection across the entire head surface. Impacts can and do occur in areas without ShotShield coverage, and no padding can fully shield those regions. The ShotShield is not designed or intended to prevent, mitigate, or reduce the risk of concussions, traumatic brain injuries, or any other head, brain, or neck injuries. No headgear, accessory, or padding can eliminate the possibility of concussion or serious head injury in wrestling or any contact activity. Concussions result from rapid brain motion within the skull and may occur even with additional padding present. Always prioritize proper technique, neck strengthening, adherence to NFHS and NCAA rules, and immediate medical evaluation for any suspected head impact.
Our mission
At ShotShield, our mission is to empower wrestlers to attack without hesitation and grind without interruption. We create lightweight, cushioning accessories giving athletes the freedom to compete aggressively. We reject the outdated idea that extra gear means weakness. Performance beats aesthetics every time. This isn’t a popularity contest — it’s a fight with rules.
Our vision
To empower every combat athlete to grind fearlessly and perform at their absolute peak with gear that delivers uncompromised confidence and zero distraction.

The ShotShield Impact Cushion product line is a supplemental foam padding accessory for approved wrestling headgear. It provides targeted cushioning only, covering limited areas of the head. Impacts commonly occur outside these areas, and no padding can protect unpadded regions. ShotShield is not designed, intended, or proven to prevent, mitigate, or reduce the risk of concussions, traumatic brain injuries, or any head, brain, neck, or other injuries. No headgear or accessory can eliminate the risk of concussion or serious injury in wrestling.
Concussions may occur from brain motion within the skull, even with additional padding. ShotShield products are designed as a supplemental accessory for use with NFHS- and NCAA-approved headgear. Referees have final discretion on all equipment. Wrestling carries inherent injury risks. Always use proper technique, strengthen the neck, follow NFHS/NCAA rules, and seek immediate medical care for any suspected head impact. By using this site and/or purchasing ShotShield products, you accept these terms. Consult coaches, referees, and medical professionals for equipment and safety guidance.
